When We Answer and When We Arrive

How fast can you get here?

We move on-site fast once you call, especially for anything urgent like a burst pipe or a gas smell. Exact timing depends on where you are on the peninsula and what's already on the road that day. Emergency calls jump the queue every time, day or night.

How does the callback form work?

Fill in a few details and we'll ring you back fast, day or night. It suits anything that's not urgent enough to want the phone in hand right now. We still read every form properly and follow up with an actual answer, not a generic text message.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Anything actively damaging your home or risking safety counts: a burst pipe, a gas smell, a blocked sewer backing up inside, no hot water in the middle of winter. If you're not sure how urgent something is, call us and we'll help you work it out over the phone.

What happens after I call?

A licensed plumber answers, not an answering machine, and talks through what's happening before anyone gets in a van. We work out what it likely is, get a plumber moving, and confirm the cost on-site before any work begins.

What It Costs, Straight Up

How do your quotes work?

We look the problem over on-site first, then give you a fixed price before any work begins. The price we quote is the price you pay, no exceptions, and no surprise extras once we're partway through the job. You approve it before we lift a spanner.

Do nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra?

No. Whatever time you call, day or night, weekend or public holiday, the quoted price stands exactly as given. We don't run an overtime scale that quietly loads extra onto the invoice once the sun goes down, and we never will.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No, it's $0 Call Out Fee, every time, on every job we quote. You get a free quote with no obligation to book anything, and if you decide not to go ahead, that costs you nothing at all either. No hidden inspection charge, no fine print.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No. After you sign off on the price, it doesn't move, even if the job runs longer than we first expected. The only thing that changes it is you asking for extra work outside the original job, and that's always agreed with you first.

Working Around Newport

Which suburbs do you service?

We work right across Newport and the neighbouring Pittwater suburbs, including Mona Vale, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Cromer and Dee Why. If you're anywhere on this stretch of the Northern Beaches, give us a call, we're either already close by or on our way over.

What does heavy rain do to Newport's plumbing?

Autumn and winter east-coast lows push wind, salt and heavy rain straight across the peninsula, and older stormwater and sewer lines feel it fast. Gutters overflow, gullies surcharge, and pipework already fighting salt corrosion gets pushed past its limit. Water backing up inside during a storm is an emergency, call us straight away.

Do you work on Newport's apartments and strata blocks?

Yes, regularly. A good share of Newport's unit blocks went up from the 1960s through the 1980s, and their original stacks and hot water systems are well past the age where failures get common. We work with owners, tenants and strata managers, and we're used to sorting access quickly in a shared building.

How local are you to Newport, really?

Often. Northern Beaches jobs make up a big share of our workload, and this stretch of peninsula, from the beach up past the yacht club moorings at Broken Bay, is part of our regular run. We know what the salt air does to fittings out here, and we plan for it.

Licences, Cover and the Rules

Who can legally do gas work in NSW?

Gas work is strictly for a licensed gas fitter. NSW rules are tight about who can touch a gas line, and for good reason. Every one of our plumbers doing gas work holds the right licence for it, and we're glad to have that checked before we start.

What does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?

It's exactly what it sounds like: if it's not right, we come back, no questions, no cost. It covers the labour on any job we've done for you, with no catches, no fine print, and no time-limited call-back window to argue about.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

For a simple drip or a slow drain, turning off the isolation valve under the fixture is usually safe. If you smell gas, don't try anything, leave the property and call from outside. For a burst or anything involving the meter, shutting the water off at the meter is the safest first step.

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Yes, any time, before or after we start. We hold NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, and there's nothing stopping you checking it against NSW Fair Trading's own records. We're licensed and insured on every job we take on, not just the big ones.
